Sharakhmetov Shahrukh

First Deputy Director of the Higher School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan

He began his professional career in 2000 at the Center for Coordination and Control over the Functioning of the Securities Market under the State Property Committee. In 2003-2006, he worked at the Ministry of Economy, and from 2006 to 2017, he held various positions at the Ministry of Finance.

In 2017-2018, he served as Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development. He then moved to the position of Chief Consultant in the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In 2019-2020, he was Deputy Minister of Finance for State Budget Issues, and in 2020-2021, Deputy Minister of Health. In March 2021, he was appointed Chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee, which was transformed into the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection in December 2022.

Since November 2023, Sh. Sharakhmetov has held the position of First Deputy Director of the Higher School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In this role, he continues to contribute to the development of educational programs aimed at training highly qualified specialists in business and public administration, and also supports innovative initiatives aimed at developing entrepreneurship and the economy of Uzbekistan.
